Yesterday while helping me make a chocolate cake, Max was standing on a bench that goes with our kitchen table and went to get down and pick something up and by the time he was down on the floor the bench had fallen over on his foot. It was a very big ouch! He was genuinely upset by it but as everyone knows he can tend to be somewhat dramatic at times. Lee and I call this syndrome the Sliver Zone. Because he could get something very small such as a sliver or a papercut and be acting as if his leg was just amputated. He has always been this way and we have just grown to accept it. An hour and a half later he was limping around and still saying ouch every time he took a step. Even limping in his sleepwalking pilgrimage to our bed in the middle of the night. By this morning we had decided to take him to the Doctor to make sure it wasn't a break or sprain. We went and he is fine, no breaks, no sprains, just a healthy little foot that got a big bump. So, while we thought we were in for our first of many broken bones, we got off of the hook...this time!
